Chapter Sevenjeweled windows filtered sunlight bright and morningful. A cascade of twinkling water sounds chorused through the air with bird song. Smiling children played elsewhere with laughter shared. Rolling out of the bed, covers and pillows covering the other sleeping form, without waking him. Time for fast, she thought. Some coffee and toast. Light food for a lazy day. Saturnine weather forecasted for later on. There was a letter, unopened, on her desk by the window. She hadn't opened last night fearing bad news, a lack of hope in between the pressed pages. Foolish. Her sister would have warned her if it was. But stomachs too tell tales.
