I would like to invite you to the next Shattered Spectacles gig. We will be opening for the Mad Bastards' Cabaret at 8:30 on Saturday the 20th of July. We have not yet begun practising for it, but the event ought to be interesting. I would also appreciate it if you could give me some information of the sort that would help me introduce you to people.

Peter runs interference for me by warding off slimy male attention - it turns out that these performer types are romantics of the worst sort. I have no problem with romance generally, but I will not tolerate it interfering with my work. For this reason I thought it would simplify matters all 'round if we at least appear comfortable with each or. This way slimy males continue to atay away from me, and none of my friends will get the ridiculous notion that they ought to prove their loyalty to me by being rude to you. The first step would be, I thought, if I introduce you as you wish to be introduced, and not merely as some nebulous femme.

I must confess that I am not yet quite comfortable around you - but that's okay, no? I don't have to be. I HAVE stopped freaking out at the possibility of you showing up at one of the events, though. I guess I'm feeling a little more in control of my environment.
